Jammers-Sedale Threatt Basketball
Camp

This is a special training camp meant for players who
have a strong desire to elevate their game to another
level. Our coaches train players at the highest levels
through Australia and the US, so it is an excellent
opportunity for players to learn from the best in the
business.
Note: It may be your one & only chance as it is
open to all levels of participants perhaps only for
this round!
The coaches for this special camp are Sedale Threatt
and his son, Sedale Threatt Jr.
Sedale Threatt is an NBA veteran who had a 15-year
career in the worlds top basketball league. He
is now an elite coach who conducts high-profile international
basketball camps in Australia and USA with his son,
Sedale Threatt Jr.
Sedale Threatt Jr., nicknamed Unguardable
for his exceptional ball handling skills, has had an
illustrious basketball career at California State University.
He also played various basketballs leagues in Australia,
including the Big V Australian Basketball League, and
he was a member of the AND1 Australian Tours.
The camp is a highly intensive programme that stretches
through 6 hours for 3 consecutive days. Players not
in good fitness may find it hard to keep up with the
programme, so please prepare yourself well in advance
if you are keen to participate and benefit from the
rigorous training provided by our expert coaches.
Each day will be split into two sessions: individual
skills training in the morning and full-court game play
in the afternoon. This allows players to learn new skills
and techniques and also provide an ideal platform to
practise these skills, under pressure, in a game-time
simulation.
For more information on the camp, please visit the
event page linked above.
Limited seats are available, so it's on a first-come-first-serve
basis.

Victorious Secret emerged as Champion
of the first Jammers International Men's League Playoffs
The atmosphere of the first ever Jammers
League Finals was electric. The teams arrived in full
battle mode, ready to contest in the game that mattered
most. Their supporters arrived in throes to cheer on
the two teams. Victorious Secret with their 'model'
cheering squad, and Nemesis who had friends and family
by their side.
Both teams got the game started strong;
it was clear that this was not going to be a one-sided
contest. VS took the lead briefly in the 1st quarter
with some strong play from centre Ron Ho (#10) and Bruce
Bowen-ish Darren Joe (#32). However, Nemesis made a
comeback in the 2nd quarter with impressive play by
Bendino Ong (#7). Tan Yu Tian (#9) was a constant factor,
scoring when needed to support his team. The two teams
were separated by 1 single point at half-time.
In the third, both teams continued their
relentless defense and neither gave way. Sheau Kian
(#8) and Yu Tian held things together for Nemesis while
VS had baskets from all their players oncourt in this
quarter. Again, 1pt separated the teams in this quarter
as Nemesis held on tightly to the lead.
The decisive 4th quarter saw a heroic
effort by Yu Tian to put his team ahead but this was
thwarted by the strong inside play of VS and the big
guys dominated. In their frustration, Nemesis fell apart
piece by piece, fouling the VS players one too many
times during the crucial period. This resulted in free
throw after free throw for VS, which the team seized
to get ahead. Out of 25pts scored by VS in this quarter,
close to 50% (12pts) were scored at the line.
With seconds left, Nemesis team captain
Jordan Loo (#13) didn't give up and hit a long three
to get within reach of a tie. A successful steal saw
Nemesis come ahead for a chance to tie the game. It
was not meant to be. A bad pass and turnover by a Nemesis
player ended the opportunity as VS players held on to
the ball to secure their very first playoff championship
trophy.
Jammers International Men's League
Playoffs - 3rd/4th Placing Game
The two teams that were touted to meet
in the Finals fell in the first round to their opponents
and met in the 3rd/4th placing game in the playoffs.
AirForceONE obviously lost a lot of steam after the
tough loss to Nemesis and it was evident in the turnout
on that day. The Jammers came more ready to play, hoping
to get one back from the only team that beat them during
the regular season.
The Js got off to a hot start behind
sharpshooters Jamon (#10) and Tommy (#15), who rained
threes on AF1 right from the onset. A 9-pt lead separated
the two at the end of the opening quarter. AF1 was kept
alive by the valiant efforts of their centre Gad, after
Sheldon was carried off the court with an early ankle
injury in the game.
However, a huge 2nd quarter by the Jammers
(30pts) saw the gap widen and the lead was 25pts by
halftime. A total of 6 three-pointers were hit by Jason
(#5), Bandar (#18), Tommy and Jamon in this quarter
to extend the lead. The trend continued into the third
quarter as the Jammers' lead was increased to 30pts
at the end of the 3rd.
Finally, AF1 picked up their act in
the final quarter and scored 30pts in the final quarter,
but it was too little too late. Defensively, they were
also unable to hold back the Jammers who also scored
24 in this quarter. The Js finally closed the season
on a convincing victory over their friendly foes, AirForceONE.
