Jammers All-Star SATURDAY

The Jammers All-Star Saturday took place on 11 July with all the league teams being represented in this fun-filled event, which featured a 3-point shooting competition, a skills contest, the Leaders' Challenge match and the highlight of the day - Jammers All-Star Game. Here are the results of the day's contests:

The day's events started off with the Jammers All-Star 3-point ShootOut. A total of 20 contestants from the teams participated in this fight to claim supremacy as the top 3-point shooter of the league. After a tie-breaker round that saw 4 finalists advance, hot-shooting Jamon Montemayor of the Jammers nailed the victory after Inaba Shunsuke missed just that 1 point necessary to tie.

Following this, the Jammers All-Star Super Skills Contest was played where 10 team representatives took part to see who was the top ball handler of the league with the most skill in passing/dribbling/shooting and finishing the layup. Ronald Goh of Twenty4 Seconds took the cake with a blazing timing of 26 seconds in the final round, finishing well ahead of the next best finalist.

The Jammers Great Eastern Leaders' Challenge was a special game to recognise the efforts of the leaders in each team. Two representatives were nominated by each team to participate in this full-court game. The Leaders' Home team raced off to a huge lead behind Team J's dynamic duo of Inaba and Takigawa and they never looked back from there. Great Eastern came in as one of the sponsors in this contest, along with 1physiotherapy and Project Hoopz.

Jammers All-Star Game

The highlight of the day was no doubt the Jammers All-Star Game, where some of the top players in the league came together to play for the first time ever. It was a closely contested game and saw many ties and lead changes up to the final minutes of play. The Away team finally pulled away with some hot shooting from the Jammers' Jamon and Tommy to seal the victory!
